Hometown Hungarian heritage to be celebrated at Grape Harvest Dance in Painesville Township
People of Hungarian ancestry from near and far will converge Oct. 2 on the Painesville Township Park Community Center for the 32nd annual Szureti Bal, an afternoon of dancing, food and fellowship.

“It’s a great chance to celebrate our Hungarian culture and heritage,” said Grace Shupp with the Dance Committee.
Roy and the Hungarians will play live music for dancing Hungarian czardas, popular dances such as line dancing and polkas.
The Rev. Louis Medgyesi, Hungarian Reformed Church pastor, still conducts a church service in Hungarian the first Sunday of each month. In his 33 years of leading the church, the Hungarian services used to take place more often.
