Hungarian Culture Days will open its doors to the public as part of Culture Night 2016.

on Friday, 16 September 2016 from 5pm at Filmbase Temple Bar.

Hungarian Culture Night invites everyone to explore, discover and participate in arts, Hungarian gastronomy and different European folk dances.

• „Best of Hungarian Culture Days” exhibition

8 different and very talented artist will be show off their amazing works which they had been displayed already at previous Hungarian Culture Days’ exhibitions.

• Folk dance workshop

Do you want to learn some Hungarian, Slovak, Bulgarian or Polish folk dances? Do you like meeting new people and learn easy, traditional dance moves?
This is your perfect event: an exciting folklore dance workshop with friendly dancers. Experience the sound of Europe through its traditional dances! No dance experience needed just happiness and good vibes! Come with comfortable shoes and a good friend (or meet one there)!
And after the Hungarian dance workshop there will be Hungarian wine tasting!

5:00-6:00 Hungarian dance teaching for the kids (Tamara Tóth)

6:00-7:30 Hungarian dance teaching for everyone (Tamara Tóth and Szabolcs Pintér)

7:30-8:30 Fs Ostroha (Slovak Folklore Ensemble)

8:30-9:30 Bread and Salt – Dublin – Bulgarian Folk Dance group

9:30-11:00 Bal Folk Dublin – music: Dublin Trad Collective (Polish dance)

• Hungarian food tasting

If you like to try different cultures cuisine then come and enjoy some delicious Hungarian food. The tasting is sponsored by Imi’s Smokehouse Ireland (what you should know about them: „we always deliver high quality, excellent tasting, and real home-made products to the tables of our customers”). And the popular Hungarian chocolate bar (Túró Rudi) tasting is sponsored by Ancient Healing Therapy Clinic.

A Magyar Kulturális Napok szervezői szeretettel várnak minden kíváncsi érdeklődőt a nagysikerű Culture Night programsorozat magyar állomására, ahol a művészetek és gasztronómia mellett magyar, és más európai táncokkal is megismerkedhetnek.

8 tehetséges művész képeinek bemutatására kerül sor, melyeket már láthatott a közönség az elmúlt öt év Magyar Kulturális Napok rendezvénysorozat valamelyikén, ám nagy sikerüknek köszönhetően most újból kiállításra kerülnek.

• Táncház

Szívesen részt vennél magyar, szlovák, bolgár vagy lengyel táncházban? Szeretsz találkozni új emberekkel és kipróbálnál néhány könnyű tánclépést?
Ha igen, akkor itt a megfelelő alkalom: nemzetközi táncházunkban elsajátíthatod mindezt kedves, barátságos oktatóktól.
Nincs szükséged előzetes tánctudásra, csak egy kis jókedvre. Gyere kényelmes cipőben, és hozd magaddal egy jó barátod is (vagy ismerkedj meg eggyel a helyszínen)!
A magyar táncház után borkóstolóval készülünk!

• Ételkóstoló

Természetesen az est nem múlhat el otthoni ízek nélkül, rendezvényünkhöz a harapnivalót az Imi’s Smokehouse Ireland szolgáltatja (amit róluk tudni érdemes: „Kizárólag saját nevelésű sertéseket dolgozunk fel. A hagyományos négy fűszeren paprikán, fűszerköményen, fokhagymán és a són kívül semmilyen mesterséges adalékanyagot és tartósítószert nem használunk! A termékek füstölése saját füstölőben történik bükkfa fűrészpor felhasználásával. Tehát ezek azok a dolgok, amelyek miatt a mi kolbászunk igazi Házikolbász!”).

On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours to allow for increased access to the public. Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available free of charge.

Culture Night has grown from a relatively small scale cultural event staged only in Dublin in 2006 to the significant national cultural event it now is, with some 350,000 people visiting museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres across the country. The initiative has captured both the public imagination and the enthusiasm of artists and cultural organisations.
